At the heart of the ROG STRIX Z790-A is an LGA 1700 socket and Z790 chipset, allowing you to leverage a wide range of 12th, 13th, and 14th Gen Intel processors. Four DDR5 Dual-Channel RAM slots allow you to install up to 192GB of memory with speeds up to 8000 MHz when overclocked, providing you with increased multitasking and rendering capabilities. Five M.2 PCIe and four SATA III storage interfaces allow you to combine an array of storage drives to build a massive gaming library. A single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot is available for resource-demanding graphics cards while PCIe 4.0 x16 and 3.0 x1 slots support a wide range of utility cards. Between the back panel and internal headers, you get access to several USB 2.0, 3.2 Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 2×2 ports, offering plenty of support for peripherals such as mice, keyboards, and controllers as well as resource-demanding devices like external drives. Wireless devices can utilize Bluetooth 5.4 technology for a reliable cable-free experience.
